Harvesting Herbs

Last weekend was the perfect weather to do a little gardening. I spent the day cleaning out pumpkin vines, pulling weeds and harvesting herbs! I have never had a full garden so harvesting things is a whole new world for me. I knew I wanted to dry my herbs to use this winter.. I did a bit of googling and hang drying was the option I decided on!
I used an embroidery hoop for my hanging ring then simply made small bunches with cotton twin to attach them to the hoop. You have to hand your hoop in a dry place- not recommended to keep in your kitchen.. so I hung the hoop in my brightest most sun filled room.
Next I took my sage and made little smudge sticks to give as gifts!
