What to Wear Wednesdays | Mexico Spring!

We are talking COLOR + my favorite Mexican Restaurant today!
Ninety Five percent of the time I live in neutrals, but that 5% of the time I like to rock a bold color for a special occasion. This occasion happens to be SPRING! Its totally around the corner, I can feel it, I can see buds and green plants emerging through the ground and the days are getting longer- if that is not a time to celebrate with color, I don't know what is!

This periwinkle blue dress was begging me to put it on. Its a long sleeve dress with a slit, I love the balance of just the right amount of skin to be sexy but still feel covered up. After all spring is in the 60s not the 90s of mid summer.

I am a fan of layering, creating texture and interest makes an outfit. A denim jacket is a FAIL SAFE when you want to give a dressy dress a more relaxed and approachable feel. To avoid color blocking on this I opted for a nude shoe. This kept the whole outfit soft and modern. Of course I dawned the perfect C. Alexandria tassel necklace, shades and soft lips to complete the look.

We photographed this in front of the our Favorite Mexican Restaurant in Town- El Rio Grande because it IS the brightest place in town and when you are craving color or the BEST FISH TACO you have even eaten its a no brainier! Of course we went in and ate right after we shot this :D
